The Algorithm
I started building the algorithm used in these models during the COVID lockdowns of 2020 to keep my sanity.
While I had no immediate interest in horse racing, I am a keen poker player and have dabbled in various sports betting and associated systems over the years. Combined with my very strong maths and data experience through university and my 30-year professional career, I kept myself busy building an algorithm to pick winners.
The journey has see-sawed to a point now where we have built the algorithm on over 150,000 races from 2016 to now and tested it in a live environment for the past two-plus years.
While my own returns have been modest over the journey as I have experimented with various wagering strategies around the model, many others have found great success using the selections.
I am now working on more enhanced calculations and am confident that the results will continue to improve in the years to come.

Big AI Changes Coming
I have used the 2025 Spring Racing Carnival to refine a new AI based algorithm, using my original as a starting point.
The results have been very good and as such, I will be rolling the site into a new and improved format and app.
Ultimately, it'll become a subscription service for people I don't know, but in the interim, please hit the sign-up button so I have your details for when I flick it over.
It won't be paid for some time, but I'll be testing with all who are subscribers and only a basic service for the rest.
